Re-Decorating, again!

Every so often, I love to redecorate the house. If I can rearrange the furniture then I feel like I've gotten new stuff! So from time to time, I rearrange. We actually converted the "Cowboy room" into a craft room. I needed a place to work on different projects and the dining room table wasn't really working for that. I figured that we have 3 extra guest rooms, so, why not convert one into crafts? So, that's just what we did!
Craft Room:

Blue Room: (just a little rearranging)

Paris Room:

I created a "Family Wall" again.
I missed that from our old house and this spot on the really worked out well!

Our Office:
got re-organized and re-arranged!

Our Bedroom:
(we move the furniture around quite often because it's such a huge room it's easy to do!)

Furniture Restoration!

Well, the garages sales this year were not that impressive. But, I still had some leftovers from last year that I'm still working on! I'm quite happy with how this one turned out. It's for sale right now for $98 at the Lemon Tree if you're interested! I am still going to all the thrift stores and trying to find some stuff, but, mostly it's just plain ol particle board there. And well, I don't like that. But it's still always fun restoring stuff!
Above is the "before" picture.

This is the "in process" picture.

I found some really cool knobs for it at Target!

K Decor, L.L.C.

For those of you not on Facebook, or haven't heard yet, I have officially started my own interior decorating business! It is called K Decor. I liked it because it's kind of like my name with Cory's name. He was quite happy about that:)
Anyways, if you ever need help with interior decorating, just give me a call! I'd love to help!

My Friend Camas

I just had her shoes taken off yesterday. Our neighbor behind us is a horse farrier, so, that works out well for us!
We just moved her into our corral last night. It was her first night at our house since we got her!
Good news is is that she is still here, as of this morning!
We had to build a fence first and then get a fence charger, and well, you know, it all costs a lot of money. But, it's well worth it! Our next plan is to get my parent's goat, Billy. So, we're having him brought down in a couple weeks to keep Camas company! I love having animals again!

Sittin On Top Of The Hill.....

The first snow came just a few weeks ago to the mountain range, north of us, called Bogus Basin. It was an amazing view from our hill, we feel like we are on top of the world sometimes!
This was one of the prettiest views we've had since we've been in this house....the sun was shining only on the top of Bogus Basin, the part that had just gotten a skiff of snow. It was beautiful! It's nice having such a wonderful and unobstructed view sometimes!

A few days later, Cory and I awoke to a heavy fog encompassing everyone else but us! The whole valley was stuck in a heavy, wet fog! It was like we were up in a plane, above the clouds. It was almost claustrophobic, like we were stuck up here. But, then I realized that I could see for miles, but only above the clouds. It was amazing.
It only lasted until about 9am, when I had to go to work.

Camas

Well, the biggest news is that I finally got a horse! Well, I should say "we" because it is "our" horse, however, I shall be the sol rider.
Her name is Camas. It reminds me of Moscow, the Camas Prairie, and I like that! Camas is 16 years old, a mare, with a lot of get-up-and-go! She is beautiful! I had always wanted a buckskin quarter horse and now, I finally got one! It helps when you have 15 acres to let her run on!
We're building our fence this Saturday! She's at the dairy right now, with the DeWinkle's horse, Ancha. But, they don't really get along. But, we want her up at our house anyways, but, we gotta get our fence up first!

The story:
I was looking on Craigslist for a horse. I always look for horses on there. But, this time I typed in "Buckskin Quarter Horse" and well, there she was. So, I called the lady that owned her. She lives in Buhl, Idaho (about 3 hours away). So, Cory and I left really early on Saturday to go and see her. I rode her for quite awhile and loved her instantly!
So, we wrote the lady a check and went on Tuesday and picked her up! I've been riding her everyday since I got her! She even comes when I call her!

This is Ancha, the Freesian Draft horse.

Mom's 50th Birthday Party

September 8th, 2009 was my mom's 50th birthday! Cory and I headed up for the celebratory weekend ahead.

The party itself was in my parent's 100+ year old barn. My sister Emma and I set the table up and filled it with candles and farmers-market flowers....I love Moscow....
Anywho, there were only a select few invited to this event, due to the fact that the table was in fact a fuse-ball table. The menu consisted of a delectable prime rib roast , Mrs. Sawyer's famous potato salad, the infamous Anast green salad, and of course, horseradish and wine. It was amazing, all of it!
Emma and I dug around in the attic for party stuff and stumbled across a sombrero. No clue how that got there, but, we decided that our mother would HATE wearing it, so, we put it on anyways and sang "Happy Birthday".

Do I admit that this is my sister, Emma?
